NS Releases Report on Seniors’ Falls Prevention The NS Department of Health and Wellness released a report titled Seniors’ Falls in Nova Scotia: Current Status and Policy Approaches to Support Prevention. The purpose of the report is to identify opportunities where a policy approach to addressing seniors’ falls could be used across multiple settings. It is not intended to summarize all current initiatives ongoing in fall prevention.
The report has 3 sections: 1. Data on seniors’ fall-related injuries in Nova Scotia 2. A brief scan of the literature on policy approaches to support fall prevention work 3. Key informant interviews regarding policy approaches to support fall prevention work

The website features a variety of French language resources as part of the toolkit. CARSP Conference – Abstract Deadline Extended You now have until October 31st to submit an abstract to the Canadian Association of Road Safety Professional’s Conference. The Conference will take place June 18-21, 2017 in Toronto, Ontario. The Call for Abstracts welcomes submissions from a broad array of road safety topics, and from both practitioners (i.e. those who are delivering programs or writing policy), and researchers/evaluators.
